The Honey and Spice range of soaps and bath & body treats, was founded by Rosie Oh
Growing up on an organic market garden, was a family affair all 5 siblings were involved with all of the everyday happenings on the farm, the physical yet peaceful tasks from hoeing lettuces to digging bulbs. Julie Rosies mother was a big inspiration, very creative, resourceful a wonderful cook and everything was organic and handmade.
Her creativity ignited via Cookery School in Cromwell Polytechnic, Rosie worked hard as a chef for a few years before reingniting her creativity at Art School, at Dunedin Polytechnic. Exploring different mediums, from sugar shards and pastry, to charcoal, aliminium to paint and clay ... and then as part of an art assignment about scent and memory the hobby of soapmaking began.
From her cottage studio in kakanui, Rosie now creates formulas and unique recipes which are bold and flavoursome yet mild, soothing, and nourishing for your skin. All products are made from the finest natural ingredients and are gentle on the environment too! Minimal packaging is used and it is predominatly compostable!
Honey and Spice strives to please your senses with a celebration of scent and texture. The range is both natural and indulgent, and each product encapsulates Rosies philosophies & ethics within every detail.
Rosie can be found each Sunday at the Oamaru Farmers Market (plus other season markets from Dunedin, Cromwell To Christchurch) with her vintage barrow, laden with her natural skincare.
